What are Nano Brows?
Nano brows are also called digital microblading or nanoblading. What makes nanoblading different from microblading are the tools used to create the same natural look. Nanoblading is done using a single needle cartridge attached to a rotary tattoo machine vibrating up and down into the skin between 70-90 times per second creating a natural permanent result, whereas microblading is done by scratching the pigment into the skin with a blade made up of 18micro needles creating a semi-permeant natural result. Because when the skin is being tattooed and not scratched, less trauma is created and the pigment gets the chance of traveling deeper which is why nano brows lasts longer and stay more crisp.
How permanent are Nano brows, Do they last forever?
Nano brows should last without touchups for 2-4 years depending on skin type, oily skin can require more frequent touch-ups. The reason why brow tattoos fade much faster than body tattoos is because our face secretes sebum and oils all day long especially in the brow area where there are hair follicles and sweat glands. Nano brows provide a more permanent solution to a natural look but will still require touchups depending on the skin of the client. The work does not shrink like microblading normally does and the strokes stay thin for a much longer time.
What is the healing process like?
Nano brows essentially are a brow tattoo, they are a single needle tattoo done to mimic natural brows so the healing process will be just like the healing of a normal tattoo. A layer of aquaphor is applied post service along with instructions of care. Instructions include keeping the area clean and moisturized for 15 days after service. Sun exposure, sweating and exfoliating should be avoided. Strokes will appear much darker than they will heal at first and pigment will peel slightly. True results will show after 4-5 weeks. Healed results will be examined and retouched during the included follow up session.
Nano Brows or Microblading?
The perfect client for Nano brows is a client with not very much hair, mature skin, looking for a minimal maintenance more permanant yet natural results. Microblading is great for natural hair stimulation so it is recommended for younger skin with fuller brows as it it allows the brows to grow and expand within the microbladed shape creating the ultimate natural result. Microblading is also recommended for clients who do not want to commit to one shape for a long period of time as it allows flexibility because it is semi-permanent. Nevertheless, during consultations we will recommend the optimal method tailored to each clients needs.
How much do Nano brows cost?
Nano brows cost $750 for clients that have not had permanent makeup done before, for clients who were microbladed by Shay previously but would like to switch to nano brows for a more permanent result, the cost is $500 since shape is already established. Both prices include a free follow up session.
